LADY IN BLOOM: NOISE OF THE BLOOM
There’s a lot of noise around; the noise that tells you you are not good enough and that often comes from people who are projecting their own insecurities. The noise that screams and shouts, yelling over your own voice so that you feel like you can’t give an opinion any more. And then there’s the worst kind; the quiet noise, the one where people disappear, decide they want to play victim and not really tell you what’s on their mind.
Silent treatment, cold shoulder, conniving glances, overt attitude…if someone doesn’t want to spell it out and would rather approach you with attrition rather than intention, let them sail. If it mattered they’d spell it out!
The world is bleeding noise and you have to figure out how to filter it. I’m learning that noise can either deafen you or define you. You could see it as a call to action rather than just a loud sound.
Whereas as I would get downtrodden over what someone thought about my projects and my opinions, my current status is that what they think about me is none of my business.
You’re a garden in bloom; it may not always be pretty. You’ll cut your fingers once in a while but ultimately you’ll find a way to silence the noise that does nothing to better you.
Heres what your bloom could be telling you: Accept yourself for who you are. Be yourself, improve yourself where you can. Don’t try to change who you are just to please others.
