The JourneyLADY IN BLOOM; PETAL BY PETAL

May 7, 201717

Having chased after and working hard at my goals for over 10 years, I’m slowing down, recollecting, discovering new passions. I’ve never been here before but my, it’s a moment of reflection unlike any other. I doubt I’ll get to do this again any time soon, so I’m savouring the life lessons I’m coming across, bitter and sweet.

Pushing pause when it feels like everyone around you is in bloom season may seem impracticable to other people, it might even frighten you, but I prefer to look at it as though I’m working on a vast garden, watering the flowers, nurturing them petal by petal until they’re in full bloom.

LAM - Janet Face Flowers

Pruning, watering, carefully creating a masterpiece. Taking my time to get it right so that when it’s time to bloom, I’ve worked towards the big reveal and allowed myself to open up organically, to myself and to others.

Don’t mistake your slowing down for withering; you’re not stepping out, you’re stepping back. Allow yourself to reign it all in and carry on once you’ve found your bearings. I don’t have the answers and the experience but what I know for sure is that every flower blooms at a different pace. The same goes for you ?

I’m currently at a place like this, seems like everyone around me is blooming and I’m still in my bud, struggling to get out. I’ll keep your words in mind ?

Pruning, watering, carefully creating a masterpiece.

    Love it!!

Prune: Trim by cutting away dead or overgrown branches or stems, especially to increase fruitfulness and growth.

I went through that stage in 2015 and it really felt like I had slowed down but the me that came out of that process was greater and blessed!!

Thank you for sharing your journey Janet!

Words are. gold.Art is beautiful. It’s not about who thinks its worth it or who doesn’t,it is simply about your motive, drive and conviction. It is changing souls Janet,it is encouraging what you do…It is serving a huge purpose.I hope some day you can mentor some of us young ladies who lack professionalism who wanna be instruments of change through different kind of art.Bless you!

Looking at this many questions run through my mind but what stands is this, the society is not the judge of whether or not what you do counts that’s a personal respobsibility. We are our own bosses the judge will always be our motive, our passion and our convictions. What you are doing Janet is Powerful it’s needed it’s beautiful. Some of us who wanna blog and believe in it’s power to bring change on a personal level are certainly encouraged.Bless you!
