About 2 months After Baby Huru was born, my hubby and I had our first date night since becoming parents. It was also our 6 month wedding anniversary so there was a lot to celebrate! I really struggled with what to wear for dinner; my mummy-tummy was real and raw, my back was far from healed from my C-section and I was still a little woozy from the transition that comes with being a first time mum.
After lamenting for a bit, I chose a black sweater top because it covered my midsection well, a pair trousers that didn’t hold too much around the waist and black boots, which I spent a fair bit of time wobbling in!
How I wish I’d known what I could do with a pair of sneakers! So for this look we went for an all black ensemble (my favourite!), some edgy jewellery and of course a red lip.
Sneakers on date night…who knew? ? If you’re still up for a plan after, hit the club with the same look! It still works! Try it, own it, enjoy it ??
