The JourneySNEAKER MUMS: SUIT UP!

December 8, 201612

I have a friend who works in a building complex where getting from one end to the other might as well be prep for a marathon! She then has to do the school run for her daughter over lunch hour and head back to the office. Her MO? A pair of sneakers, which she pretty much spends most of her day in, pairing them with her power suit, only slipping into heels when she has a presentation in the boardroom or a formal meeting to attend. I love the idea! Sneaker Mums: Suit Up!

Now I’m not sure about your workplace but there’s no harm in trying this out, especially if you’ve just returned from maternity leave and need to take it easy on your body for a bit longer before returning to your heels.

Throw in a scarf and a great lippy to make it a little more feminine. I think this would work with a skirt suit too! No?

Try it out and let me know. I’d love to hear from you! ☺️❤️

I’m not very outgoing when it comes to professional well, so this is a little out of my wardrobe but hey, I still like it! In my view, I think that maybe a lighter top, like chiffon, would have made the look more subtle (first thought impression when I saw it…maybe something to try ☺)
Otherwise, always loving your posts and of course, loving you more too?. God bless!

I wore sneakers to work during and immediately after my maternity and people thought I was crazy. For me it was about my comfort. I love it!
