The JourneyTHOUGHTFUL

December 27, 201626

As the Christmas celebrations continue and the sounds of laughter and song ring through the air, I’m taking a moment to think about those that have had a rough year. It hasn’t been an easy year for many people around the country. Whether it’s those that have been affected by the Doctor’s Strike, the families of those that perished is tragedies such as the devastating Naivasha tragedy and the countless people who continue to be marginalised. Sometimes the weight of it all can get to you because you think…what can I do? On the up side, there’s various outlets and organisations that can direct you on ways you can help, by lending your voice or resources to certain campaigns that address pertinent issues. But if you’re thinking about what to do now, today, I say think about our brothers and sisters, keep them prayer. Don’t let this all shaky you, but make you hungry to do more and be more. I wrote these words years ago but feel like they need to be heard today:

“Nations build walls of terror around statues tall,
We cannot seem to find a place that doesn’t hold a fall
With cowardice and warring sons, weeping spirits call out
The suffocating stench of death under the mushroom clouds

Prepare yourselves for hope, may you be at ease
Even though there’s fight and fear, may you be at ease
Your family, your friends so dear, may you be at ease
When the skies open a new beginning, we will be at ease” ?? (Poetry by Janet)

Hello Janet, thts thoughtful and all we can do is pray because there’s not much we can do….but the one Above God can do it all…so let’s say a prayer to all those going through a tough time,a loss,a heartbreak, a sickness, frustration, disappointment and hopelessness …spent my Xmas traveling and I saw a lot of things tht broke my heart…accidents, death, pain….I teared up and all I could do was pray .

    Wow Words!!!
Such a niceeee flow of words!! Above all encouraging words..
I have learnt, prayer is the most amazing and unique activity one can ever do to herself each and everyday..
Even though the year was a rough year I believe no situation is permanent. But God’s time is the best if only we Believe, Trust and Pray..

But the last pic you really look like huru Sana sana..
    God bless you

I totally love this post because one of my greatest lessons this year was to be strong not for myself but for everyone else as well because your strength may be the only strength they may have left .
Thank you Janet GOD bless you and your family exceedingly this coming year.
