The Inua Dada Foundation

Inua Dada Foundation is a registered non-profit organization committed to advancing the rights, agency, and dignity of girls across Kenya and beyond. Rooted in community, advocacy, and storytelling, the foundation works to address critical issues such as menstrual health, access to education, gender-based violence, and mental well-being. “Inua Dada”, meaning “uplift the sister” in Kiswahili, reflects our belief in the power of collective support and dignity for every girl.

Since its inception, the foundation has built inclusive, girl-centered programs that combine research, outreach, and advocacy. From school-based initiatives providing menstrual products and education, to policy-level engagements and national conversations on girlhood and equality, Inua Dada bridges grassroots work with systems change. Our approach is intersectional and community-driven, centering the lived realities of girls while involving boys, parents, educators, and leaders in long-term solutions.

More than a foundation, Inua Dada is a movement — one that champions visibility, voice, and justice for girls. We believe in building a future where every girl is seen, heard, and supported to reach her full potential with dignity and confidence.
