There are days when I struggle to be a mother because I don’t know if I’m being a good one. I doubt myself, I feel guilty, I get distressed especially when my son cries, helpless even. Even though I have a great partner in this journey, my husband, and my mother has been a great support as well as my family and in laws, it still boils down to me. Huru is such a precious boy; he has a big personality for his pint size and it’s fascinating watching him grow. His laugh is a slice of heaven ? His love is pure and raw. I could do nothing else but spend the day loving him and learning him and that ultimately feeds my soul and inspires me everyday. So I’m going to focus on loving and being loved. Being loved and understood by the people that take time to know and accept me as I am, flaws and all. I’m going to lean on God more because when I don’t I falter. So for my motherhood journey here on our, I’m going to focus on loving my son, because ultimately, children understand the love and presence of their parents more than they would money or gifts. We’re not perfect but they don’t see that when they’re young. They love. So I will love and be loved in return.

So true Brenda! I think we never stop learning as parents. My own parents tell they’re still learning new things about their children and life in general everyday! I think that’s why we have to remain open minded. Thanks for reading and commenting on my post! ❤

Caysey my dear, I believe in you! Please don’t let the world and its haters bog you down. You can literally be the great person you know you are, deep down inside. Work, pray, focus, never stop believing in yourself! Thank you for sharing dear.

I’m reading all the articles on your blog tonight as I lay in bed with a smile on my face as I read through! You are so charming Janet!?
I could relate so much to this post. I am in my early 20’s but still see how crucial it is for my parents to express their love and confidence in me. Just as someone commented above, not expressing your love for a child can deteriorate their self esteem. I am glad to see that you have chosen to love Baby Huru, the same way that he loves You!? This will go a long way in shaping his character and confidence towards greatness!
